Edgewater man plants bomb in Evanston

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a 19 year old Edgewater man planted a bomb near an Evanston Police station this weekend and then called in a tip to police of the bomb's location.  Sergio Chaves left a device filled with fireworks, nails, glass and a bullet in a garbage can outside the station located at 633 Howard on Saturday.  The Cook County sherriff department's bomb squad d disabled the device, which they said would have been deadly within a 40 foot radius.  Chaves called in a tip about the bomb, assuming he would receive reward money for doing so.
