Saturday will be a picture-perfect day when friends and neighbors step off just south of Soldier Field for the Greater Chicago Food Depository's (GCFD) 26th Annual Hunger Walk. The money raised by walkers will help fund Care for Real's critical mission by providing credits for the food they purchase from the Depository.
This year, Care for Real will receive a $15 credit at the Depository for each person who registers on Saturday. Even if you don't collect pledges, you will still be contributing to CFR's account.
The 5K walk starts from the South end of Soldier Field. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., and step off time is 8:15 a.m., but you are counted as a walker if you register any time before 9:30.
