Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanual and Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy have announced the deployment of 150 additional police officers throughout the city. The 20th and 24th districts, which cover Edgewater, are included on the list of districts scheduled to receive additional officers. The officers begin their new assignments Sunday, June 19th.
