A French bank could be on a collision course with a community on Chicago's North Side over a big piece of property where a hospital closed nearly a decade ago.
Community groups say they desperately need a park there, CBS 2's Jim Williams reports.
Benji Damron brings his son Maslo to the only play lot or park close to their home in Edgewater. It's a tiny area behind a grocery store loading dock, alongside two busy streets.
There's not much open space in the densely populated neighborhood. But one block away, Chris Swan sees enormous potential.
It's an eyesore now: the old Edgewater Medical Center at 5700 N. Ashland Ave., which has been closed for nearly 10 years and is falling apart.
