Family Dollar store robbed at gunpoint
The Family Dollar at 5725 N. Broadway was robbed last night by two men, one of which was reportedly wielding a handgun. A 911 call from one of the store's employees was received around 6:30PM, and police responded. Chicago News Report indicates "Both suspects were described as African American men. One suspect was wearing a black jacket and a red scarf over his face. His pants were also sagging. The second crook is about 6'2" and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. He was armed with a blue steel pistol. Police did not disclose the amount of money stolen from the Edgewater Family Dollar store.

same men as 711 on Bryn Mawr?
Still think MAS does a good job, Dorothy? You and Towanda really like her, don't you? Stop fawning over a failure. She can't do anything for you anymore and she probably never did.
She puts out a press release that she is using our tax dollars to hire off duty cops; announces their location; and the robbers go elsewhere to rob. In the meantime she gets her name in the press and all you sycophants applaud. She should have put undercover cops out at secret locations.
BTW why do we need to hire off duty cops? What are the ones on duty doing?
That's the store I go to. The employees are all very nice. It's sad to think they're terrorized now. My partner is going in tomorrow to see how they are.
John. You were doing such a great job with Harry's accomplishments as a state rep, why start trashing MAS? "Sycophants"? Wow, I hardly think either one of us are that regarding MAS. I also think that she has done some good things, Grandville is cleaned up, Bryn Mawr is clean up, Thorndale is a work in progress. To say that she "probably never did" any good, is wrong. She never did anything for ME but has for Edgewater. maybe not lately but she has been in office for 22 years+. It's easy to be a "Monday morning quarterback" when one is not taking the sacks. Is it time for her to retire, of course, but saying she probably never did anything good is wrong. If I feel safer in this neighborhood than say, Uptown, than she's done something good. My priority is safety right now. One last thing, how did you surmise that "Dorothy & Towanda" really like her? Why are we now sycophants..and where have I seen that word used in the last few days?
huh? how does my statement "same men as 711 on Bryn Mawr" equate to whether I support MAS or not? this place is getting confusing, I need to take some E to get back to normal. Toto help me....
now I get it, no no no Johnny, its Bernstein that supports her, remember you and he blamed a couple of blockgroup members for development when its MAS that makes all the final decision just like the KO of Phil's liquor store 100 years ago
