I went to the meeting at the library, and it struck me that there was some highly intelligent questions put to the presenters. If there was a word that I would use to describe the response to the reasonable queries and dissatisfactions voiced at the meeting it would be disinterested. Such a response creates an impotency and lethargy. Without neighborhood input, only people who take everything without questioning or doubt are left in their childlike acceptance.
