Loyola Phoenix writer Nathan Lurz recently profiled Third Coast Comics (6234 N Broadway) in an article published earlier this week. The article profiles owner Terry Gant and his story about how his love for comics, which by the way "aren't just for nerds," led him to opening his business that sits on the fringe of Loyola's campus. Terry and his wife, Lisa, are absolutely the best kind of people. There is a nice courtyard behind the shop, and when the venue for my wedding fell through, he offered me the use of his shop and courtyard as the venue for free. He has been a good friend. Even if you don't really like comics, it's worth going in here and there just to befriend him. Most of the clientele is pretty cool too.
