Lost cat?

A reader writes:  I spotted this cat on Winthrop between Granville and Glenlake. The cat ran out from under a car and immediately came up to me and started purring and rubbing up against my legs. Street cats aren't normally that friendly. All black with white on chest face and socks on his feet. Was chased away by dogs. Very very sweet cat. This happened at 7am.

A very sweet cat. I've met the "owner" and she lets the little guy run pretty free.

If it had a bobbed tail, it make be the same cat I've seen 'Lost Cat' signs for around Bryn Mawr/Lakewood neighboorhood. The lost cat's name is Sequin. There is an info poster on the corner of Broadway & Bryn Mawr.

I believe I saw this cat last week on Kenmore around 6300 - hidingin the bushes when she saw my dog - or better put - my dog saw her - i tried to coach her to ocme to see if there was a tag - but no luck because of the dog
