If you've walked past Burke's lately you may have noticed they posted their menu on the front door. If not, click the photos above to enlarge them and check them out. It looks as if Burke's will feature a full line of standard bar food including appetizers, salads, burgers and sandwiches.
We were told by reliable sources that the latest reason for the delay was due to a failed inspection, but that the space was being re-inspected this past Friday, May 27th. No word on the outcome of this latest inspection, but we did notice that the small "coming soon" signs have been removed from the windows, beer pints line the bar, and flat screen TV's have been mounted inside.

In case anyone else was wondering where in the neighborhood this restaurant is, it's on Broadway and Balmoral----This stretch of Broadway is desperate for restaurants and I'm excited to give them a try!

Thanks for listing the address. My fault for not posting it, I guess I just assumed that since we've been anticipating Burke's arrival since 2009 everyone knew where it was :)
very excited, i've been looking forward to this place for a really long time! the only other bar in the area really is Ollie's and I'm sorry I know miss Ollie is a saint but I am scared of that place.
Regarding Ollie's: I have lived around the corner for four years and never set foot inside until this past winter (largely due to past police presence and whisperings of unsavory goings on etc.). But since going that first time, I've been back with some regularity - even having an awesome birthday party there. It's an eclectic mix of people to be sure, but the staff is incredibly friendly, same for the patrons as well. I'd strongly encourage anyone with lingering doubts or concerns to give it a try.

Amen, the menu was a huge a let down.
It's getting really close to opening and I'm really excited. Regarding the menu, it's a pub so what were you expecting? If the food is good who cares if you think the menu is "boring"?
