Transforming Sheridan Road into Holland

With your help, the ASCO is hoping that by this time next year Sheridan Road will mirror Holland with blooming tulips of all colors up and down the street.  All buildings along Sheridan, whether ASCO members or not, are invited to participate and the tulip bulbs will be provided for FREE.  The parks and Emmanuel Congregation have already agreed to participate as well.   Buildings who wish to participate may submit an order for free tulip bulbs to sheli.lulkin@gmail.com by May 12th.  The bulbs will then be needed to be stored in a cool dry place and planted on your own in the fall.

If we truly wanted Sheridan Road to look like Holland, we would install separated bike lanes up and down the block.

Tulip effort appreciated. Yes, Josh, I wonder if there will ever be a way to calm the traffic on Sheridan north of Hollywood. The way it is set up now encourages aggressive driving habits -- it's so uncomfortably close and congested that everyone drives quicky to get out of the congestion. Also, there simply isn't room for two bike lanes, unless the road was reduced to two lanes. The traffic back up would probably be intolerable, and would snake all the way to Evanston.
