now if they would only get to the block of Winthrop just south of there (Balmoral, judging by the photo) - the 5300 block of Winthrop is freakin' ridiculous! there's one hole that's got to be 8 inches deep and over a foot wide (and that's just one out of like literally hundreds in the block)
Yeah, Winthrop is bad. I ride my bike down it all the time, but I think I'd rather dodge the cars on Broadway than dodge the holes on Winthrop. Also, most of northeast Edgewater seems to be getting resurfaced. Winthrop from Devon to Granville, Rosemont from Broadway to Granville, and Granville West of Broadway are all torn up. It's about time really.
Would it help to call 311 and report the issue with Winthrop? I haven't had much experience with this and wondering if anyone has called in or if that is the appropriate place to report these types of things.
Yep, call 311 on bad potholes,
there was a really bad pothole on my stretch of wayne in Rogers Park and it was taken care of shortly afterwards.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Just hoping things get fixed takes a long time.
Are they going to go north towards Bryn Mawr?
