Shooting In Edgewater Glen Leaves Teenager Wounded

At 10:30 p.m. Friday a 19-year-old male was shot on the 1400 block of West Elmdale. Police say the man was walking down the street when a light-colored sedan driving by fired the shots that injured the person.

The teen was taken in critical condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston with a gunshot wound to the back. His condition has since stabilized and his identity has not yet been released.

This latest round of gun violence occurred just one block from Senn High School. On May 21 there was another shooting that was confirmed gang-related also a short distance from the high school at Clark and Glenlake.
