Andersonville Wine Walk Returns With 6 New Locations and Food Pairings

Now entering its 13th year, the Andersonville Wine Walk has become a staple in the neighborhood and will offer those who attend a selection of wines which will be presented along two different routes.

The event, which is put on by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, takes place on Sunday, May 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. along the Andersonville strip. Participants will be able to stroll between 28 different local business which are divided into two different routes. At each stop, they will be introduced to special wines that have been mostly curated by In Fine Spirits.

At some locations, guests will be able to sample unique food pairings that have been selected by the business to compliment the wine. To add to this year’s mix, there will be six new businesses joining in the festivities: The Clark, The Coffee Studio, FRÍO Gelato, Hair by Vardan, Rattleback Records, and Stone Fox.

“Andersonville is the neighborhood that “keeps on giving!” said recently opened FRÍO Gelato co-owner Karla Koziura. “We chose the location for our latest gelato shop because of the active and engaged community, and hope everyone stops by FRÍO during the walk to try our Malbec Wine with Berries gelato—it pairs perfectly with the event!”

The Andersonville Chamber expects around 700 people to participate this year. Tickets for the event can be purchased here for $35 per person in advance and $40 the week of. Admission includes the wine tastings and a one of a kind commemorative wine glass. Attendees can check in starting at 1 p.m. at the Swedish American Museum’s new storefront located at 5217 N Clark. You must be 21 or over and able to present ID proof of age to participate.
