With recent violence hitting the 48th Ward in the last couple months including the Argyle Red Line Station shooting, Alderman Harry Osterman has scheduled another public safety meeting for tomorrow night.

The meeting, which will be held at the Broadway Armory (5917 N. Broadway) Tuesday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m., comes on the heels of a meeting that drew an enormous crowd of concerned residents at Furama Restaurant on May 15. The Alderman will be joined by 20th District Commander Sean Loughran and 24th Police District Commander Michelle Rubino and they will discuss recent problems facing the neighborhood and how to help combat crime.

“As we head into summer, public safety remains my top priority, and this meeting is an opportunity to hear from our local commanders and to learn how we can all support greater safety throughout our community,” Alderman Osterman said in the 48th Ward’s weekly community email. ” I hope to see you there.”

As in the last meeting, attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns.

If you have any questions, contact Alan Oviedo, Public Safety Liaison at the 48th Ward Office, at alan@48thward.org or 773-784-5277.
