Big Screen Classics Come To Edgewater For 2019 Movies In The Parks

Movies in the Park is back, and this this year they will be featuring mostly Hollywood classics at the Edgewater Locations that have entertained viewers for decades.

The 2019 season will officially kick off in Edgewater at Berger Park Cultural Center, 6205 N. Sheridan Rd. on June 7 with the 1959 Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon drag-comedy, Some Like It Hot. Three Edgewater parks will take part in the events. Berger Park and Kathy Osterman Beach will play Hollywood classic movies and Senn Playlot will show an animated kid’s feature.

The ongoing summer event will showcase over 100 films in more than 200 screenings throughout Chicago. Every screening is free to the public and starts at dusk (generally 8-8:30 p.m.). Call (312) 742-1134 for daily listings and weather-related cancellations.
