New Bryn Mawr And D’Elia Playground Parks Announced

Bryn Mawr Park Renovations

You could blink and never know Bryn Mawr Park was even there. But Alderman Harry Osterman is hoping more people will discover this secluded gem once the new playground park is completed. Construction is expected to begin within the next few weeks

In the green space located between Bryn Mawr and Hollywood just to the West of Lakeshore Drive is a hidden playlot park that few even know about. It is in one of those secluded areas that LSD and towering highrises seem to make disappear from most people’s view. Now the park which has been in need of much repair is getting a complete facelift. the project will include “new equipment for children through age 12, including a water feature for younger children, a small plaza, and new pavement where existing walks are in disrepair” according to the 48th ward office.

The park tops off the current sewer line replacement and street repaving project currently under way on Bryn Mawr. The financial support came from the State of Illinois (Representative Kelly Cassidy) and the Chicago Park District.
