Both Edgewater And Andersonville ‘Have It All’ According To Redfin

According to Redfin, a residential real estate company that provides web-based real estate database and brokerage services, Americans are having a very difficult time lately trying to find a neighborhood that ‘has it all.’ However, both Edgewater and Andersonville offer potential buyers better options as they rank high in a new ranking put out by the company.

Redfin cited a decrease in the number of homes sales coupled with expensive prices in hot real estate markets as the culprit when many people have difficulty trying to find the perfect community to live. So they found 25 neighborhoods across 80 cities nationwide that defy the problem, offering affordable homes, high inventory, better schools, easy commutes and lower crime.

Chicago-area neighborhoods overwhelmingly ranked in the list, taking over half of the spots on the list including Edgewater at #11 and Andersonville at #14. Other communities that made the list were in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston and Miami. Redfin predicts that these markets are ones to watch in 2018 as people are expected to continue to leave expensive, high-tax coastal cities like San Francisco and New York toward smaller, more affordable ones.
