CBS Drama Pilot Staring ER’s Noah Wyle Filming In Edgewater Today

Noah Wyle

A pilot for a new CBS hour-long pilot for a racially-charged drama called ‘Red Line‘ is filming in Edgewater on Thursday.

Filming will continue through the evening and according to the 48th Ward office, should wrap up today. Semi-trucks from the production company are parked along Broadway from Catalpa to Bryn Mawr.

The pilot which stars ER’s Noah Wyle and includes “Shameless” vet Noel Fisher is produced by Ava DuVernay and Greg Berlanti, written by Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss and directed by Victoria Mahoney. The story follows three families who were affected by tragedy after a white cop shoots and kills an African-American doctor. Wyle plays high school teacher Daniel Calder, who was married to the shooting victim. Now a single parent, Daniel must raise his adopted daughter alone.
