Baker Miller Closes Its Edgewater Cafe After 3 Months In Business

After buying the old Kitchen Sink at 1107 W. Berwyn only three months ago, Baker Miller owners Dave and Megan Miller have closed their new Edgewater cafe.

Baker Miller expressed great excitement about moving into the new location back in mid June. But without any reason why the Berwyn Ave. cafe closed, the store shuttered its doors and a “For Rent” sign appeared on the front window.

In October of last year, Baker Miller also closed their Ravenswood Manor store at 4642 N. Francisco citing the need to focus on their main location at 4610 N. Western. On July 31 of this year, Baker Miller announced on Facebook that they were moving that Western Ave. store one block away to 4655 N. Lincoln because they were “getting stuck with an unreasonable landlord who uses (their) success to negotiate unreasonable rent/terms.”

After reaching out several times, Baker Miller management was not available for comment.
