Massive improvements coming to Lake Shore Drive

logoWhile some residents dream about the bike path being extended north or even a boardwalk returning to our lakefront, the Illinois Department of Transportation and Chicago Department of Transportation are taking a serious look at the Lake Shore Drive that currently exists that many people use

    If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I see no reason to disrupt residents and wildlife nor do I see anything wrong with the paths as they are. There are many other pressing issues. Leave it alone!

      Read the article, Jackie. The infrastructure is beyond its expiration date. For safety and modern traffic demands, it needs to be rebuilt. It is broken in many places, and needs infrastructure improvements.

      You haven’t seen the overpasses essentially falling down at Lawrence and Wilson. Go underneath. It’s scary to know what’s holding you up…
