The Exorcist Starring Geena Davis Returns To Andersonville

The Exorcist, a dramatic television show which is based on the movie of the same name, will be filming in the neighborhood today and tomorrow, July 20 and July 21.

20th Century Fox Television in conjunction with the Chicago Film Office and the Chicago Police Department put flyers on the doors of nearby residences notifying them of filming and parking restrictions.

The effected street will be both sides of Winona from Glenwood West to 1418 Winona. The no parking/tow zone will start today, Wednesday at 9 p.m. through 11 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday.

The flyer, which was sent from location manager Stefan Nikolov, read, “We look forward to filming in your neighborhood, and thank you in advance for your cooperation.” If there are further questions, Nikolov said he can be contacted at 773.542.6966.

The show’s first season will be filmed entirely in Chicago. They originally filmed in Andersonville on March 15 and 16, 2016 at 5445 N. Magnolia Ave.

The Exorcist television series is described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and confronting the face of true evil.”

The series was ordered shot by 2oth Century Fox on January 22, 2016. Geena Davis signed onto the show as the season 1 main character Angela Rance on March 7. The series will premiere on Fox September 23.
