When the old Revival Social Club at 1133 W. Granville closed almost a year ago, loyal patrons were taken by surprise. However, the space will get another business soon offering true farm-to-table offerings to the area.
It was announced in a Craig’s List help wanted ad that the people behind the Farmhouse Taverns and Farm Bar in Lakeview will open its next location in the neighborhood. Farm Bar Edgewater will offer seasonal menus that are focused on the cuisines of the Midwest using mostly locally grown sustainable ingredients.
The restaurants are known to work with many Midwest farmers to gather food for the cuisine they serve. In fact, the restaurant’s owners source much of the food from their 140 acre farm in Southwestern Wisconsin which raises bees and grows black and red raspberries, apples, pears, tart cherries, apricots, plums, peaches and elderberries.
Farm Bar will also use the large bar at the space to develop its unique collection of craft cocktails, liquor and beer.
Farmheads Hospitality Group, which owns the restaurants, is hoping to open in April.
