SOFO Tap And Andersonville SSA Fund New Fence For Local Autism Center

krugerThe Andersonville SSA has awarded $750 to Envision Unlimited to build a much needed new border fence around their therapeutic garden at the Kruger Center, 4717 N. Clark. With a generous donation from Center’s next door neighbor, the SOFO Tap has matched that amount in order to get the job done.

In 2014, the North Uptown Neighbors Block Club (NUNA) was awarded a $5,000 grant to build the Center’s garden. They turned the bare asphalt area into a relaxing green space. However, after years of wear and tear, the existing border fence was also in need of replacement.

In a news release from NUNA, they praised the two entities for their kind efforts. NUNA said, “The funds from the SSA and The SOFO Tap will allow NUNA and Envision to install a border fence to help protect the plants for the clients to tend and enjoy. Many thanks to our generous neighbors for their help!”

Envision Unlimited, the parent company of the Kruger Center, provides persons with disabilities or other special needs quality services which promote choice, independence and community integration. Their Kruger Center serves as a day center for adults with autism and developmental disabilities.
