Shooting On Kenmore Ave. In Edgewater Last Night Leaves One Injured

A shooting on Kenmore Ave. in Edgewater last night put area residents on alert and prompted Alderman Harry Osterman to put out a statement regarding the incident.

The shots rang out on Sunday evening around 9:30 p.m. on the 5900 block of N. Kenmore near Thorndale. In the end, an individual took a bullet to their leg. According to the Alderman, that person is recovering from injuries at St. Francis Hospital.  No other information was given about the victim.

Police are seeking two suspects in the shooting who fled the scene in a minivan. They are currently investigating the crime and will be viewing surveillance footage from the area.
