Andersonville Restaurant Week Will Offer Specials And Prix Fixe Menus From Over 20 Local Eateries

Now that the Chicago Restaurant Week is behind us, Andersonville is gearing up for a community-specific event featuring over 20 area businesses who will be offering diverse prix fixe menu options.

Since the first Andersonville Restaurant Week was organized by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce  (ACC) four years ago, many area chefs have had the opportunity to develop special menus that showcase individual talent and help promote the local food scene. For 2020, the event will return for 10 days (Feb. 21 – Mar. 1) starting tomorrow and offer foodies $10, $20 or $30 brunch, lunch and dinner prix fixe menu selections as well as drink and dessert specials.

Featuring many of the restaurants that we have come to admire such as Big Jones, Anteprima, Octavio Cantina & Kitchen, Svea, Vincent and Replay Beer & Bourbon, the event celebrates the diversity of both the community and its food. In addition there will be many new businesses to help spice up the event including Gadabout, Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar, Francesca’s Bryn Mawr and Fat Chris’s Pizza and Such.

“We are excited to offer guests the opportunity to experience our new restaurant with customized food and wine pairings,” commented Lindsey Anderson, owner of Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar.  “We look forward to sharing our passion, knowledge, and technique as we enhance the dining experience through perfectly paired small plates and wine pours.”

According to the ACC,  menu highlights will include Replay Andersonville’s $20 Smoked Chicken Thighs and $20 Red Curry Ribs, Hutch American Kitchen + Bar’s $20 brunch menu and $30 dinner menu, Oda Mediterranean Cuisine’s exclusive to Andersonville Restaurant Week $20 Georgian Grilled Cheese Bread on a skewer called Khachapuri Shampurze, and the Swedish American Museum which will be hosting a Semlor Café (Lenten Buns) on Tuesday, Feb. 25 and a Herring Breakfast on Sunday, Mar. 1.

You do not need tickets for the, however reservations may be required at some of the participating businesses. Full menus for Andersonville Restaurant Week will post to andersonville.org as they become available.
