Local Youth Challenge Ald. Osterman And Area Police In 2nd Annual Unity Basketball Game

In what is being billed as a positive interaction between local youth and the 20th Chicago Police District officers, a local basketball game will take place to help build relationships between them. According to Alderman Harry Osterman, he will join the officers during the game.

This will be the second year for the Unity Basketball Game and it will take place tomorrow evening, February 7 from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Robert R. McCormick Boys And Girls Club at 4835 N. Sheridan Rd. The event organizers believe that a game such as this is critical for healing our city and towards building a stronger bonds between Chicago Police and area youth.

The 48th Ward office said in a statement, “as City Council reviews police reform options over the course of the year, community-level efforts like Wednesday’s game make a significant impact on strengthening relationships between communities and the police.”

Everyone is welcome to come cheer on both teams. For more info, click here.
