A shooting on the 5900 block of Kenmore Ave. in Edgewater has injured one man according to police.

The incident happened about 1:25 a.m. Tuesday morning. A 23-year-old man was talking with his girlfriend in a parked car when a nearby argument erupted in gunfire. Several shots were fired and the man suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and back as well as a graze wound to the ear.

The man was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and is listed in stable condition. Police believe that he may have not been the intended target and he is not known to have any gang affiliations.

There has been no one charged as of yet.
