Chicago gets $2 million in federal funds to curb gangs

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that officials today announced that at least $2 million in federal anti-gang funds has been pledged to organizations in Chicago. The money will go toward prevention, law enforcement and prisoner re-entry programs that provide job training and placement according to Deputy Atty. Gen. Mark Filip and Chicago’s U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald.
