Showcasing the artistic spirit of the Andersonville neighborhood, the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce will hold its 15th annual art celebration this year focusing on nine specific creative genres: visual, theatre, dance, music, culinary, handmade, kids/family, literary, and public art.

The event will also expand from a three day celebration to six days, with different activities for each of the represented genres. There will be both indoor and outdoor festivities along a 1.5 mile stretch of the Andersonville strip from October 10 – 15.

The number of participating artists has grown by a third from last year, with over 15o creative forces taking part in the week-long celebration. According to the Chamber; you can expect activities such as literary readings, free performances, DIY public art, kids/family actives, and artist receptions to be represented in the mix.

“The expansion of Arts Week is exciting on many levels and speaks to the one-of-a-kind experience Andersonville offers,” commented ACC Executive Director Sara Dinges. “Art – whether performance, design, handmade or culinary – is inherently part of the Andersonville fabric, and we cannot wait to illuminate this experience.”
