“Vintage Market” Coming Soon

Soon you’ll be able to shop for art, antiques and other goodies at a parking structure near you! While technically out of our jurisdiction and situated in the Uptown neighborhood, We thought this idea was neat and worthy of sharing. This summer the former AON building’s parking garage (5051 N Broadway) will be transformed into the Vintage Garage Chicago.

The concept is simple: vendors can easily pull in their car or van and sell from one of 100 spots without the logistical hassles most large scale shows provide. “We want to make the set-up as painless as possible for everyone involved,” says promoter Melissa Sands, co founder of Vintage Promotions, LLC. “Any dealer will tell you setup and teardown are the most nerve-wracking part of a show and we’re making it easy.”

Shoppers will get an urban market with a wide selection of vendors that is bike and stroller friendly. The organizers, Vintage Promotions, Also operates a vintage clothing and jewelry show in Dallas,TX.

The Vintage Garage Chicago will be held June thru October on the third Sunday of each month. The hours will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
