New American Bistro To Occupy Old Cantina 1910 space

Hutch’s Lakeview location.

A new restaurant serving American cuisine will be opening in the old Cantina 1910 space at 5020 N. Clark. Hutch American Bistro, which also has two other locations in Lakeview and River North, is hoping to open the doors to their new Andersonville location in late November.

The new restaurant will occupy the back half of the immense space of the old Cantina 1910. They are currently seeking a incidental liquor license and are planning to keep menu items moderately priced. They will be able to sit near 100 people inside and will offer patio space in the summer months.

Owner Marc Wuenschel shared his plans last night at the Winona Foster Carmen Winnemac (WFCW) Block Club meeting. His presence at the event was met with a warm reception in hopes that Hutch will have more favorable views from area residents than the previous restaurant.

Hutch will offer their take on American classics such as mac n’ cheese, pork chops, briskets, burgers and sandwiches. They are currently planning on being an all-day cafe with brunch and dinner options.
