Boundary-Breaking, Women-Led Tattoo Studio Moving To Andersonville

A Ukrainian Village tattoo studio that began in 2018 has taken on the industry with a core value that everyone is accepted and respected. After setting in place an inclusive business model that is backed up by distinctive artists, Evoke Tattoos has announced they will be moving to Andersonville and into a larger space with new artists.

With the belief that Women’s rights are human rights, science is real, love is love, Black lives matter, no human is illegal and water is life, Evoke Tattoos has become more than just a place to get a tattoo.  Their welcoming environment has allowed customers to be themselves and feel comfortable to communicate  through skin art.

First opening in 2018 at 2222 W. Chicago in Ukrainian Village, co-owners Marci Mundo and Brooke Michael Englehart began breaking boundaries at the private studio while at the same time establishing their brand. Their loyal customer base has increased over the past couple years allowing them to employee six other talented artists.

It was now time for the business to continue the growth and find a bigger space. Evoke Tattoo announced in an Instagram post this week that Andersonville will be their new home and that they are working to finalize the new storefront.  The decision to move has allowed them to hire two more artists and an apprentice.

Ready to take root in Andersonville, Mundo told EVB that they are thrilled to have the opportunity to move Evoke Tattoos into the vibrant Andersonville community. The new location will be  announced soon.
