Little Bad Wolf Opening New Restaurant Expansion To Handle Its Growing Success

It seems like success was in the cards for local restaurant owners Sal Ashbach and Gus Lappas. With people confused why their first popular Edgewater eatery (Burger Philosphy) closed a few years back, Edgeville Buzz learned that the duo was actually morphing the counter-service restaurant into a more sit-down place that served alcohol.

That is how the Little Bad Wolf (1541 W. Bryn Mawr) story began and has since been gaining praise from both locals and critics alike. With the increasing popularity however, wait times have grown as loyal customers try to snag a seat in the crowded space.

It became clear that Little Bad Wolf needed more room, so when the Subway next door at 5554 N. Clark closed they saw their chance to grow and seized the opportunity. Now the restaurant will be opening a much anticipated expansion that will nearly double the size of the space.

According to Ashbach and Lappas, they will be able to sit approximately 50 more patrons during peak hours. They credit the success to their customers and what they describe as “good food, good drinks and a good vibe.” The new space will allow Little Bad Wolf’s loyal base to be seated in less time.

Taking over a prime corner at Bryn Mawr and Clark, finishing touches are being completed. The restaurant will be doing a test run first to work out any kinks, but they are hoping to open the new expansion to the public mid-June.
