Edgewater Featured On WGN News Today

The Edgewater community was proudly featured on WGN Morning News today. As Dan Ponce continues his quest to visit all 77 Chicago neighborhoods, he took time to stop here and showcase some of our favorite things.

The segment starts at Svea restaurant, 5236 N. Clark. There they dive into the diner’s ‘Viking Breakfast’ which consists of eggs, falukorv (Swedish sausage), Swedish pancakes and limpa rye bread. They move across the street to Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark, and talk about our diverse community.

The video continues throughout the Edgewater neighborhood, focusing on Foster Avenue Beach, which it calls ‘the pride of Edgewater’s lakefront’, Broadway Armory’s active community center and the historic Rosehill Cemetery.

They also speak about the area’s rising rents and many single family homes exceeding the million dollar mark. WGN’s Ponce also proclaims Edgewater as ‘One of the most desirable places to live in Chicago.’
