Last week’s announcement from Commander Sean Loughran from the 20th District of a new 48th Ward police foot patrol on Argyle Ave. came as good news to resident’s ears. The Argyle assignment will join other foot patrols on Bryn Mawr, Thorndale which all have day and evening shifts.  There is a fourth foot patrol on Devon during the day only.

Commander Loughran and Alderman Harry Osterman are planning a 6:30 p.m. community meeting on March 2, 2016 at the Selfhelp Home, 908 W. Argyle St. to address additional safety concerns.

In a statement, Ald. Osterman said, “Commander Loughran is focused on improving safety and building strong partnerships with neighbors and community associations in the 20th District. You will have the opportunity to ask the commander about any safety concerns or issues affecting the community.”

If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact Marko Zaric in my office at marko@48thward.org or 773-784-5277.
