Andersonville Businesses Band Together To Pledge 14% Of Sales This Valentines To Charity
February 12, 2019
Valentine’s Day is all about the love and starting this weekend select local Andersonville businesses will extend that love to special local and national charities.
This will be the third annual “With Love from Andersonville” which is put on by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and includes many of the area’s best stores and restaurants. The event takes place this Valentine’s Day Weekend, February 14-17 and hours will vary by business.
Visitors should look for stores with the “With Love from Andersonville” logo door signs. Those select businesses will donate 14% of sales to a charity/non-profit organization dear to their hearts on specific days. There are a wide range of options including Jameson Loves Danger benefitting Felines and Canines, TrueNorth Cafe benefitting Peirce School, Milk Handmade benefitting Girl Forward, and Women & Children First benefitting Chicago Books to Women in Prison.
The event allows those looking for the perfect Valentines gift or service a unique opportunity in how they spend their dollars. According to a press release by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, the event allows customers to take an active role in supporting a shop or local business in the community, as well as the organization they have adopted as beneficiary for the event.
