Building Fire On Winthrop Yesterday, One Injured

Later in the afternoon on Sunday, March 15th there was a fire at 6144 N Winthrop. The fire was contained to the common area garbage chute.
There were 7-8 firetrucks, paramedics and cops blocking the surrounding streets. It was reported that there was initial heavy smoke conditions that were able to be cleared up very quickly.
A few civilians were rescued from the main aerial ladder. There were no fatalities but one person sustained a minor injury and is reportedly doing well.
