Three Candidates Vie To Become Next Senn Principal At Forum Tonight

Senn-21It has been a busy school year for Senn High School interim principal Mary Beck. She was given that position for the start of the 2015-20016 school year following the removal of former principal Susan Lofton.

Lofton and two other employees were removed from their positions after the Chicago Public Schools district’s inspector general launched an investigation into unethical practices. They were accused of lowering test scores for 15 special needs students who wanted to enter Senn’s fine arts program.

Now Beck and two other candidates, Jason Siegellak and Kevin Gallick, are making their cases why they should be the next contract principal of Senn High School. Gallick is currently principal at George Washington High School in South Deering and Siegellak is assistant principal at Hammond Elementary School in Little Village.
