Our Elected Officials Meet To Talk About The State of Edgewater


This Friday, June 6, join local business owners and community leaders for breakfast and to hear from elected officials representing Edgewater.

The State of Edgewater is an annual event hosted by the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce. It provides an opportunity for Edgewater stakeholders to hear from representatives at all levels – ward, county, state, and federal – about their current work and how it impacts our community.

This year’s event will be held at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach, 5333 N. Sheridan Rd., and will feature a deluxe breakfast from their executive chef. Confirmed speakers are 40th Ward Alderman Patrick O’Connor, 48th Ward Alderman Harry Osterman, Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, 13th District State Representative Greg Harries, 14th District State Representative Kelly Cassidy, 7th District State Senator Heather Steans, and 9th District Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Invited speakers are Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.

The State of Edgewater begins at 8:30 a.m. and is scheduled to wrap up by 10:30 a.m. Tickets to the event are $30 for Edgewater Chamber of Commerce members and $35 for non-members, and can be purchased by clicking here. Proceeds from the event go to benefit the work of the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s mission is to create and support a thriving business environment, contributing to a vibrant Edgewater community.
