A new boot camp gym will soon be opening in Andersonville.

Andersonville Fit Body Boot Camp, 5430 N. Clark St., will officially open its doors on March 7, according to a DNAinfo story posted on the company’s Facebook page.

The company’s website said the gym focuses on fitness and fat-loss group workouts that are led and designed by personal trainers. The franchise is owned by David Bostik.

Fit Body Boot Camp has hundreds of locations throughout the world and seeks “to expose and engage 20 percent of the world’s population to a healthy and fit lifestyle by the year 2020.”

Bostik himself has experience in the world of weight loss. According to the company’s website, “on March 18, 2003, I weighed in at a whopping 346 pounds and decided once and for all it was time to take control of my life. I made the first step by joining a local gym. After wandering around the gym aimlessly, unsure of what to do for the first three months, I hired a personal trainer. Two years later, I had lost 140 pounds and I had regained my confidence and self-esteem.”

He later opened his first training studio in Lincoln Park, his website said.

The company uses a 30-minute, group personal training program that provides high energy, fun and challenging workouts designed to burn maximum fat and tone the entire body.

The workouts use an efficient combination of High Intensity Interval Training and Active Rest Training, the Andersonville Body Boot Camp website said. The group training sessions are led by experienced, certified personal trainers.

“I am very passionate about what I do,” Bostik said on his website. “From personal experience, I know what it takes to stay motivated and on target with your fitness goals. Having been overweight most of my life, I know the hardships and difficulties of an unhealthy life. I know that the Unstoppable Fitness Formula will not only allow you to reach your goals, but also help you lead a happier, healthier life.”
