Expanding on the growing popularity of the Northside Northpole event, Edgewater will fill the community with Holiday joy this Sunday with fun activities such as a Kidkindlmarket, toy workshop, lighting ceremony and a festive Bryn Mawr parade led by Santa and his rein-goats (AKA Mayor Pax the Goat and his buddy Eros).

Hosted by the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce (ECC), the Northside North Pole is an opportunity for the community to connect for one-day with family-friendly activities for everyone across the neighborhood.

“The holiday season is a time to slow down and to reconnect with friends, family and community,” said ECC Executive Director Christina Pfitzinger. “We are all busy but as we take stock of the year, we are motivated to make good on promises to volunteer time, donate resources to those in need and share with loved ones the places that make the neighborhood we call home so very special.”

“You can experience winter in a whole new light with Lights on Byrn Mawr as we accent the unique details of the street by bringing back the favorite holiday tradition of window decorating,” Pfitzinger added. “Wander the street with Santa, Edgewater Pet Mayor Pax the Goat, Elves, and Tiny Bubbles Ukulele Ensemble while viewing holiday displays designed in collaboration with partner businesses, nonprofits, shop owners, restaurants and artists.”

The unveiling will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2019 and finish the stroll at the Lytle House with the Edgewater Chamber’s annual Pictures with Santa.

Participating business include Bryn Mawr Jewelry, Custom Framing, Edgewater Mexican Café, Francesca’s, Mama K’s, First MidWest Bank, Edgewater Playhouse, CLK and Salon Echo. They will be working in conjunction with Designers including 11hundred, Loom, Orange Theory, Sara Lewis Crafts and the Andersonville Edgewater Theatre District.
