Suspect Sought After Man Was Stabbed In The Head On CTA Near Bryn Mawr

Police are looking for a suspect after an altercation over the weekend on a CTA red line train led to a man being stabbed in the head.

The incident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday evening aboard a CTA red line train near the Bryn Mawr station. According to police, two men got into an argument on one of the train’s cars and it quickly escalated.

It was then that the suspect took out an unknown object and began stabbing the 46-year-old victim repeatedly on the top of his head. Once the train stopped at the Bryn Mawr red line station (1119 W. Bryn Mawr), the attacker exited the car and fled the scene.

Authorities are looking for the suspect who is described as a black man with light salt-and-pepper facial hair who is around 50 years of age. He is approximately 6’2” and was wearing a white tee and jeans and was carrying a blue bag or backpack.

The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where his condition is unknown.
