Tomorrow: Senn Local School Council Meeting
Parents and the community are invited to the next Senn Local School Council Meeting, to be held on Thursday, March 1st, at 6:30pm in Room 115 at Senn High School, 5900 N. Glenwood Ave. Entrance is via the West Entrance, near the school parking lot and athletic fields.
The LSC helps parents and the community. It governs Senn by approving policies, approving the budget, creating annual school improvement plans, hiring the principal, and creating a bridge between the school and the community. Our mission is to become a world-class first-choice community high school, and the Local School Council is a key player to make that vision a reality. One recent community/LSC success was to bring a magnet Fine Arts Program back to Senn.
Community members are particularly welcome to learn about serving on the LSC as a Community Representative. The upcoming LSC election includes open positions for both Parent and Community Representatives. The election is April 19th, and self nomination forms are available at the meeting or for pickup at the school.
