Helping to kick off summer in a delicious way, the Edgewater Farmer’s Market gets ready to open this weekend and will offer a variety of options for the neighborhood.

Produced by the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce, the market will run every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Broadway Armory parking lot at Thorndale and Broadway from June 16 through October 13.

There will be many types of locally produced food to choose from including fresh local produce, baked goods, cheeses and coffee from market regulars such as Scheeringa Farms and Stamper Cheese. There will also be many new additions to the mix including gluten free/vegan pastries from Chicago’s own Mindful Baking and homemade pasta from Pasta Monster. Two local Edgewater businesses will also be participating this year: phlour Bakery & Cafe and Edge of Sweetness.
