Andersonville’s Clark Street has a handful of new eateries on the 5400 block, with the latest being new French restaurant Brasserie 54, which recently opened it’s doors in the former Premise space at 5420 N Clark joining other newbies such as Johnny Brown Bag and Jerry’s SandwichesPremise closed its doors and sold to these new owners after just four months of re-concepting the restaurant from In Fine Spirits.

Opened by by owners Stephan and Nicole Outrequin Quaisser of the LM Restaurant Group, Brasserie 54 features affordable French cuisine served up by executive chef Brad Phillips.  The menu resembles that of the owners other venture, Brasserie by LM in the Essex Hotel, and nothing is more than $20. Inside, the main dining room received just minor cosmetic changes while the upstairs, which was a lounge as Premise, will be used for private dining.  Currently open for lunch and dinner, Brasserie 54 will soon also feature brunch and a prix-fixe menu as well.
