After 20 Years In Business, Pizzeria Aroma Moves To Larger Space

To be a survivor in the restaurant business is no easy feat but after 20 years at the same location on Berwyn Ave, Pizzeria Aroma moves a half block North into a much larger space at 5350 N. Broadway that offers more options.

The tiny restaurant that only allowed for a few tables makes way for a standard dining room that sits about 65. The 2,750 sq. ft. space also has a full bar that will serve up your favorite cocktails and beer.

Televisions have been added for people to enjoy their favorite sports and there will be an outdoor patio during the warmer months sitting and additional 16-20 people. In addition, Byline Bank next door will allow patrons of the restaurant to park in their lot after 6 p.m. Monday – Thursday, after 1 p.m. on Saturday and all day Sunday.

Owner Jim Dababneh admits that the process was very demanding. From planning to construction and permits to inspections, he said this was one of the most exhausting and challenging things he has ever done. However, the new restaurant allows his patrons a whole new experience.

“I think the community will be quite pleased with the setting and atmosphere,” said┬áDababneh. “We have to deliver flavor and service that match.┬áThere simply isn’t a lot of options where you can get seared scallops, an Italian beef, broiled salmon, cheesy garlic bread, and Johnnie Walker Black Label on the rocks all in the same place.”

While the old restaurant closed on March 15, the new Pizzeria Aroma officially opened for business this past Tuesday. They will be open seven days a week: Sunday 11:30 a.m. – 10:15 p.m., Sunday – Thursday 11:30 a.m.- 11 p.m., and Friday – Saturday 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
