Growing In Popularity, Third Annual Hand-Crafted Art And Gift Fair Takes Over Broadway Armory

With a successful fair last year, Holiday Remix will return once again to Broadway Armory Park at
5917 N. Broadway on Saturday, December 9 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The event showcases one-of-a-kind, handcrafted and affordable items of all kinds. The makers and vendors feature recycled and up-cycled goods for people looking for that very special gift.

“It’s great to raise awareness about what people can do with things that they normally toss away,” said the event’s organizer Jay Lyon. “It’s awesome to see a little kid’s creativity sparked when they see what an artist has done in repurposing something – you can sometimes see that light bulb go on in their heads.”

There will also be some new additions to this year’s show including locally made food and special classes.

“We have many new artists this year, and we’ll feature food from Edge of Sweetness, a new local restaurant,” Lyon added. ‘We’ll also have a workshop that will teach kids and adults alike about basic bookbinding, and how they can make their own journal/notepad out of things they would normally be throwing out.”

Holiday remix is free and open to the public.
