“What do we want?  BRAINS!  When do we want them?  BRAINS!”  says Kayce Alltop, Relations Director of pH Productions.  Brain hungry and beer thirsty zombies will be invading Andersonville on April 28th as part of pH Production’s 5th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl.

Inspired by a similar event in the Twin Cities, the event has grown locally from 200 participants in it’s first year to a whopping expected 1,000 participants this year.  Why a zombie pub crawl, you may ask?  We posed the same question to Alltop, who responded: “People love zombies!  It is so fun to get such a large number of zombies together at once.  All inhibitions are gone.   You can stagger down Clark Street groaning “Brains,” even if you are alone.  The costumes and make up never cease to impress as well.”

The event is not just another reason to hang out with your undead friends, it also serves as a major fundraiser for pH Productions, a local comedy theater company now in its 10th year that is currently looking at the Andersonville neighborhood to be its permanent home.

Five local watering holes have already signed up to participate:  The Call, Farraguts, Simon’s, @mosphere and Hamburger Mary’s, though the event may add even more.  Tickets for the event are $20, which includes a special pub crawl cup, t-shirt and a year long subscription to Time Out Magazine, and they go on sale today.
