Stained Glass Windows of St. Gertrude this Sunday

Stained glass windows are undeniably beautiful, regardless of your religious affiliation (or lack thereof). On Sunday January 22nd at 1:30PM, Edgewater’s St. Gertrude Catholic Church will present a guided tour of the church and its varied pieces of stained glass art. Guided by Ann O’Connor, co-author of A Guide to the Windows of St. Gertrude, attendees will be able to learn about the history of religious stained glass, and hear some anecdotes specific to St. Gertrude’s own stained glass works. A reception will follow the tour, and admission is free. St Gertrude’s is located at 1420 W. Granville Ave.
