CTA To Hold First Of Two Virtual Town Hall Meetings Tonight About RPM Construction

The first of two virtual town hall meetings will be held tonight to discuss the Lawrence to Bryn Mawr CTA Station/Track Stage A Construction and the impacts it will have on the Edgewater community.

The first town hall will be held via Zoom tonight, March 2 at 6 p.m. Participants must register for each of the events online. Free and open to the public, this evening’s presentation will focus on the Argyle and Lawrence stations. This Thursday at 6 p.m., the presentation will be aimed at Edgewater residents from Berwyn to Bryn Mawr.

The CTA said they will go over station and track construction including project timeline.
Information on Lawrence and Berwyn Station closures will be discussed as well as the addition of new, temporary rail stops at Argyle and Bryn Mawr.

After recently unveiling the new Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn and Bryn Mawr station designs, the CTA has received much feedback from area residents. At the town halls, they will now ask for public input into new station artwork, station illuminated sign panels and embankment murals.
